Marvel Cinematic Universe - Phase I (REMASTERED)

So this piece here, is my pride and joy. Everything apart from the boarder and the title was drawn on sketchbook pro on iPad.

So this came about after I tried to make some minimalist posters for each movie individually. While the concepts were there, I just couldn't get them to work well. However I accidentally put a few elements together from Iron Man and Hulk and realized I could do one poster together and have a few minimalist things representing each movie. And quickly that snowballed into, while still minimalist, a much larger and detailed poster than I planned. Since I posted this it has featured several times across the internet such as on the Marvel Cinematic Universe fan page.

The first phase of movies builds up to the Avengers and is, from the top down, as follows;

- Iron Man (2008)
- The Incredible Hulk (2008)
- Iron Man 2 (2010)
- Thor (2011)
- Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
- The Avengers (2012)

For each movie it was important for me to get across who the main character/s are, any other important characters and a significant background to the movie. For example, The Avengers section has Loki, the main villain, as a focus, with Nick Fury on the other side as the other focus. Then in the middle, since most of the Avengers were featured more prominently on their own sections, I decided silhouettes would fit much better, with the background being NYC being invaded in the climax of the movie.

Since finishing this, I've also made a Phase II poster and am currently working on the Phase III poster and the Defenders poster. And possibly an Agents of SHIELD one as well.
